We care for our own vineyards in the Rioja Alta all year. We watch the grapes grow and ripen until they are just right for picking.
And we make the wines ourselves, in our own winery.

SINCE 1965
Bodegas Virgen de la Vega was founded in 1965, when the cooperative was formed, then covering an area of 1600 m2.
Over half a century has passed, and we are proud to have become a great winery, with a modern, functional premises of 18,000 m2, where we create no less than 4 million litres of wine each year.
It has been an exciting path of steady growth, and we continue working to offer you Rioja Alta wines to enjoy each day.
OUR VINEYARDS GROW THE TEMPRANILLO AND VIURA VARIETIES, THE MOST TRADITIONAL OF THE DOCA RIOJA.
At Bodegas Virgen de la Vega, we have the northernmost vineyards of the DOCa Rioja, at an average height of nearly 700 metres.
Our 850 hectares of vineyards are distributed in different areas around Haro, capital of the Rioja.
