ARVS 67 White

25,00

We make our barrel-aged white wine, ARVS 67, from Viura grapes grown in vineyards over 30 years old, located in Rioja Alta. The clay-limestone soils, combined with the Atlantic climate, allow us to produce a white wine that is ideal for pairing with food.

The grapes are harvested by hand during the first weeks of September, always in the early hours of the morning so that they reach the winery at the lowest possible temperature.

Viticulture: Vineyards over 30 years old located in Rioja Alta.

Grape variety: Viura.

Yield: 5,500 kg/ha.

Winemaking: Once the grapes arrive at the winery, they are pressed. Static cold settling is then carried out, followed by racking into stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at an average temperature of 19°C.

Once alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is aged on its lees in French oak barrels for approximately 6 months, with weekly stirring. Finally, the wine is racked off its lees and bottled.

Bottle ageing: Minimum of 1 year.

TASTING NOTES:

Appearance
Bright straw-yellow colour with very subtle golden highlights. Clear, with good colour intensity and fine tears that hint at its volume.

Nose
Expressive and elegant. Aromas of fresh white fruit, such as pear and Reineta apple, and stone fruit, particularly white peach, predominate. These are accompanied by delicate notes of white flowers, citrus peel and an underlying hint of fennel and wild herbs. Ageing on the lees adds nuances of brioche, fresh nuts and a lightly creamy character that is perfectly integrated. The aromatic profile combines fruit, floral and herbal notes with subtle ageing nuances, typical of white wines matured on their lees.

Palate
Broad and silky on entry, with vibrant acidity that provides tension and freshness. The palate combines volume and balance, revealing a pronounced mineral character that lengthens the wine. The finish is long, clean and persistent, with lingering notes of citrus, white fruit and an elegant saline touch that invites another sip.

Food pairing
Ideal with baked fish, shellfish, rice dishes, poultry, soft cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine. Its freshness and structure also make it an excellent accompaniment to richer, creamier dishes.

Serving temperature
Between 10 and 12°C.
